Hey loves!
Happy new week. Hope you’re doing great. Your girl has been here and there this past few weeks. I have been travelling often hence i haven’t had the time to document for you guys how my trips have been. But worry no more I have great content coming your way.
*adrenaline junkie- A person with a compulsive desire for excitement and adventure.
Here are my top nine adrenaline activities:
- WHITE WATER RAFTING
This is the mother of all adventures. Rafting has become a popular sport mostly in the central region. it is done in River Sagana or otherwise the Tana which provides grade 3-5 rapids depending on the season. The Rafting trip is about 12 km long which takes approximately 2-3 hours. once you get to the camp( Rapids Camp Sagana) you are picked with a truck which you are driven upstream to the starting point where you are briefed by professional river guides on what to expect during your trip. Nothings greater than passing through the so called Rhinoceros Buttocks, Can of worms, Flexor and the captain fall, which are among the many grades that you’ll get to experience as you raft.

2. THE PLUNGE
If you ask anyone who’s been to Sagana, they’ll definitely narrate to you their never ending story of how they jumped off a 40 ft cliff into the river next to Kenya’s largest waterfall. The feeling cannot even be described. This is a solo experience that everyone needs in this life. Trust me.

3. ZIPLINING
Zip lining has become rather common in Kenya today. Ziplines are a horizontal thrill ride that sends you hurling through space and enjoying the scenery along the way. I have done zip lining in a number of places including The Forest, Ngong hills and Sagana but nothing betas the adrenaline that kicks in once you do it at Rapids Camp Sagana. Its a 250m rope cutting across a massive waterfall at the campsite which is like no other. Once you do this you will definitely be an addict. Get it from me.

4. KAYAKING
For some, kayaking is the ultimate rush. For others the opportunity to ride the rapids or waves in a water body is the pinnacle of adventure. Kayaking has been a spot i’ve participate in since the age of 12 being among the many kayakers to qualify for championships in 2015. That said, imagine the rush of participating in an all out kayaking trip battling rapids and waves as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature down the stream.

5. BUNGEE JUMPING
This is otherwise known as the adrenaline junkie getaway drug. Bungee is a staple in the world of natural highs. It’s a free fall into thin air from a 60ft crane having been tied by a rope at your ankle.Boy oh Boy this is something else.

6. MEN’S BATHROOM
Contrary to the name, this activity is not exclusively for men. It includes a series of coordinated team building & fun activities at the shallow waters of River Tana including a sing along with vigorous gestures. This activities awaken your inner kid to surface and drive away all the tension you had with every day to day hustle.( sorry sadly i lost my footage on this but if i find it ill definitely insert it)
7. ANGELS BOWL
How do i even begin with this. Just try picture it. hmm, see, all these activities need to be done to understand. This is sliding off a rock into a whirlpool which swallows you under ( lack of a better word), then vomits you out after consuming a glass or two…haha. Man this is an experience like no other.

8. GHEKKOS
When most people go out for a bit of fun where there are no bouncing castles, swimming pool, horse riding and the likes, they always tend worry if their kids are gonna enjoy. Ghekkos is the perfect activity for them. This is outside the norm of what they term as fun. They get to experience something that they will talk about to their peers in school for a long time. its a one man inflatable boat in which you sterer using your hands and get to interract one on one with nature. Ps; it can be done by adults as well.

9. RIVER SWIMS
This is similar the old fashioned mduf mpararo apart from the fact that you are given protective gear; that is a helmet, life jacket and most importantly a river guide. This is usually the first step to remove the anxiety and familiarise with the water before beginning any activity as a warm up.

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!! YOLO !!
Till next time my loves.
Love Muthoni❤.
