Small world country club

It’s been a long time coming for me to document a travel post. Since my last karoad trip( small road trip) to the beautiful and tremendous Crave kitchen. https://eatsandtreatske.food.blog/life-style-2/.

Take a peak at it. It was an amazing experience that I believe you should all experience.

Not so long ago, i made my way to the beautiful and amazing small world country club located in Athi River off Mombasa road. Granted its not too far( approx. 1 hr 45 min) from Nairobi CBD, it was a very easy and quick decision to make that we would make the trip.

As we entered the parking area, we were welcomed by the security guards as they showed us the main entrance. On entering, they have a cute reception like area on which one of their staff awaited and a very cosy lobby area with a bar area which was really amazing.

We chose an upstairs lounge with an amazing view of their modern pool- which was one of the best pools i had seen in that area and Nairobi at large- on one side and green plains on the other.

They also have indoor games in the lobby like pool, darts and so many others which are perfect for groups.

We were immediately attended to by Dennis( our amazing service waiter). He was of big help as he helped us decide on what to eat. In the long run , we chose two pizzas( The kuku choma and the hipster), 2 fries, masala chips, 3 sausages, 1 spanish omelette and a whole spring chicken choma. The chicken was by far the best i’d had in a while.

They also had a wide selection of drinks and also a bar overlooking the pool which was really convenient.

They also had a cute modern fire place for bonfires during the night.

Tips:

1. Google maps is only convenient until the Dayster/lukenya junction. From there just drive like 300m and use the U turn. The destination will be on your left.

2. Leave earlier to avoid the traffic on Mombasa road just after the Kitengela junction which is pretty crazy because of the trucks and trailers transporting cargo.
